The government has given its approval to a groundbreaking scheme named SHRESHTA (Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas). This initiative is designed to provide seats for meritorious SC boys and girls in the best private residential schools across the country. Annually, approximately 3000 students are expected to be selected for admission in Class 9 and Class 11 under this scheme.
