The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) is a prestigious national-level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). NCTE is a Statutory Body of the Government of India under the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

  1. Conducted by NTA: The National Testing Agency (NTA) oversees the seamless organization of the NCET, ensuring a fair and standardized testing process.

  2. Mandatory for ITEP Admission: Qualifying in NCET is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). This program is offered in selected Central/State Universities, Institutions, including prestigious IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2023-24.
